About: The Founder Hi Loves! My name is Adrienne and I created Dough - and I am so excited to share this new exciting venture with all of you!  The Beginning: Growing up I cultivated a deep love for baking and feeding friends and family, and I'll have to give some credit to one of my longest-lasting inspirations, Martha Stewart. I was a 10-year old who couldn't wait to pore over every word of my mom's monthly issue of Martha Stewart Living. Yes Martha, thank you...I am so glad I now know how to roast a holiday goose (hello, just in case) and the proper way to remove wax from vintage candle holders. No joke - I ate all that information up. My dream, my certain future destiny at this time in my life was to own a bakery. And host seemingly effortless, yet also flawless, dinner parties, a la Martha.  >> Fast Forward Years later, with a degree in finance and a "serious" job in Silicon Valley tech, I was still working toward my plan but it was definitely on the back burner. My dream then, 16 years later, was to own a bakery and be Martha Stewart-esque. One day, faced with a choice to continue in my challenging yet unfulfilling career or take that next step toward my risky, scary, but super exciting dream job - somehow I forced myself to jump. It wasn't easy, it was absolutely scary and if I let myself dwell on it - I would start to panic over the salary, 401k and cushy benefits I had just left behind for a career that wouldn't earn me a dime for who knows how long. Did I just make a huge mistake?  But oh my, was it thrilling, the possibilities and the freedom - I was finally, for the first time in my life, thrilled to work, and to work hard. I didn't think my next step at that point was to open a bakery, but suddenly, and just like that - the inspiration for Dough hit me. It honestly came to me like a dream, within 24 hours I had created the rough outlines of my brand, it's values, logo, products and flavors and much more. After that initial flame, I spent months testing recipes, designing packaging and even letterpressing my own business cards. I lovingly created and refined every aspect of Dough until it was just right, and now I'm so excited to share it all! I really hope you all enjoy what I've created.  xx,  Adrienne
